When kids finish Year 6, they want some cool mementos to remember their school years, and mostly their friends.
A hoodie is nice, but not very personal, and will soon end up in the back of the cupboard. Kids get excited signing each others shirts, drawing and writing messages, and making something unique and personal. That's where we come in.
All primary school kids have school photos every year, but they're formulaic, boring and don't show the kids energy or personality. Kids get excited when they have a dress up day; they can show off their favourite gear and a bit of themselves. So we've combined all of this thinking to offer unique end of year and leavers photos where kids can dress and pose how they like, you take their picture and we put them all together in a unique poster they want to have on their wall to remember the good times.
How does it work?
1. PTFA gets the parents and carers involved
Someone in the class or PTFA needs to take the lead in being a single point of contact between yourselves and us. Once you have established you would like to order posters for 1 or more class groups, you them get the parents and carers to take the pictures, and make a payment to yourselves. We charge £20 per child for a poster. We then ask the PTFA for 50% deposit on ordering, and the remaining balance once the final layout is approved, before printing.
2. You take the photos
Next part is to get the photos taken. This is the fun job of the parents or carers who can get the best out of them. Kids should wear what they like, and pose however they feel; the more fun and energy the better! We have a clear set of guidelines for taking the photos. Plain backgrounds and fancy cameras aren't necessary! It's worth setting a deadline for submission of photos and payments for the kids, so we all have a timeline we can work around.
3. We get to work
Once you have photos of all the kids, get them sent over to us! Always aim for the best quality images. Those sent over WhatsApp may be of lesser quality than those sent on email, but we can work with whatever we have. We will then get to work with the supplied images to create an exciting and fun collage of all the classmates together.
4. Finished Files
When we've finished working on your collage, we'll send you a watermarked image for you to check over and make sure all the names are correct, and all the kids are in there. Once you are happy and we have received the outstanding balance, we will order a 70x50cm poster print of the final image for each child, which will then be sent to one address for you to distribute. We can also arrange for frames to be supplied at extra cost if needed, but the posters are a standard size and it will be easy to find affordable frames for these.
5. Thumbs up
Once you have your picture proudly hanging on the wall, you can then tell all your friends about us, share, like and love us on social media, and start making plans for next years photo! We can also create bespoke greetings cards and other designs with your childs photo if you wish, just get in touch!
